I love entertaining! As an alternative to going out with friends to a bar for drinks, it can be so fun to play host for a fun night in. I love having people over and catching up while sipping on homemade cocktails, and preparing fun party foods. And, obviously it’s not a perfect night in without entertainment – like a board game or card game. Seriously, what better way to have a successful fun night in, than a few drinks, some snacks and a good game!

Codenames (the original game) has been a smash hit since its release, it was most recently nominated for the prestigious Spiel des Jahres and the won the Origins Awards for Game of the Year, Best Family Game and Fan Favorite. This version combines the original gameplay with an adult theme making it perfect for bachelor/bachelorette parties, ladies nights in, or game night at the local bar!
The game is played in two teams, red against blue. Each team has a spymaster – seated on the same side of the table. The two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. The teammates know the agents only by their “codenames” – which are hilarious and naughty [like Prostate, Dominate, Fist, Catcher, Joystick, Nipple, and Sack… just to name a few. Hahaha]!
The teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the “Assassin!” If a team member chooses him, he’ll run the fun for everyone.
